Access to Collections
Tours of facilities for UC Berkeley classes may be arranged.
Admission and use is granted to research scientists, graduate students, and other visitors with a scientific interest in the collections. Access to the collections is by appointment only. Requests to visit the collections should be made to the appropriate Curator at:

Loans of Specimens
ATTENTION:
For 2013, specimen and tissue loans for Herpetology are backlogged for 3 to 6 months (minimum). Please plan accordingly and thanks for your patience!

Before requesting a loan, please do the following:
- Read the policy on specimen loans.
- Search the database to make sure the Museum has the specimens and parts (i.e. skin, skeleton, or fluid) that you require.

Before requesting a tissue grant, please do the following:- Read the policy on tissue grants.
- Search the database to make sure the Museum has the required tissue (i.e. frozen, ethanol, buffer preserved), or the correct specimen parts required (i.e. skin or skeletal material for destructive sampling).
