Ioana Seritan (Former MVZ Undergrad) published an article in Birding magazine by the American Birding Association called "Open House: The Inner Workings of a Museum" where she emphasizes the importance of collections-based research, data digitization, and the role of museums in education while recounting her own experiences working in the MVZ.

Where are they now?
MVZ Alumn Toni Lyn Morelli worked as an NSF Bioinformatics Postdoctoral Fellow with Craig Moritz and Steve Beissinger from 2010-2011 and continued as a research collaborator through 2014. She worked on an extension of the Grinnell Resurvey Project looking at climate change impacts on montane mammals.

Toni Lyn is now a Research Ecologist with the US Geological Survey, based at the Northeast Climate Science Center and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Some of her recent work on climate change refugia in collaboration with Steve Beissinger and others was published in PLOS ONE and was highlighted by The Wildlife SocietyShe has also recently helped develop the field of Translational Ecology to improve the impact of scientific research in addressing environmental problems.
