Noel Carrillo

Noel Carrillo was involved in the MVZ-BSP Internship program during the Fall 2006 and Spring 2007. He started by taking the “General Comparison and Diversity in Vertebrate Anatomy” course in the fall of 2006, and then continued the internship in the Spring by working in the MVZ Evolutionary Genetics Lab. He has continued his involvement in the Fall of 2007 with the Evolutionary Genetics Lab and the MVZ Preparation Lab, and will start a special project in the Prep Lab in the Spring of 2008.

“Taking the MVZ-BSP class was one of the most exciting things I’ve done at Cal. This class helped me learn so much about the anatomy and physiology of animals. This was a class like no other that taught me so much and that I’m sure will help me in medical school or graduate school. As for my job in the Genetics lab, I also learned so much about the way the lab is run and it has given me an advantage in my biology classes because I’m familiar with the equipment and materials used in the lab. I recommend the internships and jobs offered at the MVZ as a great way to learn more about biology.”
